How to Get There?

You’ll find stunning views of rocky terrain, Safranga cold desert, Katpana Desert, Katpana Lake, and the serene atmosphere of this region as you depart Skardu city and journey into the northern areas of Pakistan. Be sure you have your camera ready, as the road itself offers some stunning views. On the way to Manthoka Nala from the main Manthoka village, the waterfall is about 5 kilometers away.
Through Skardu-Kargil Road, one can access the waterfall from Skardu. Hussainabad, Thorgo, Parkutta, Ghasing, and Manthoka are some of the renowned villages along the route. It is highly recommended that, if you have a limited amount of time, you start your trip early in the morning and arrive at your destination around 11 a.m. Spend some quality time of 2 hours, then return to Shigar Fort for another hour of exploration and continue on to Safranga cold desert to enjoy the sunset. If you still have time, you may visit blind lake as well.

Foreigners pay around 700 rupees for entry, whereas Pakistani citizens pay around 300 rupees. Yes, there is a parking lot here.
