Rare Instance of 20 Different Wildflowers Blooms in Death Valley – Whosoever thinks the driest place death valley may have a sea of flowers? In July 1913, The Death Valley holds the record for the hottest temperature ever recorded on Earth 134 degrees Fahrenheit and receives an average of about two inches of rainfall each year.
Last year, record-breaking rainfall helps in to produce 20 different types of wildflowers blooming where in Feb 2016. The super-bloom display has transformed into a sea of wildflowers contributing sufficient moisture to let the nature allow producing 20 different types of flowers to burst from the ground.
The gorgeous blossoms have completely changed the appearance of Death Valley. The thousands of seeds that lay dormant to take root and blossom are a nearly once-in-a-lifetime event. The next event may happen again in 10 years or so. Currently, it is highly recommended to pay a visit to see this rare instance. Park Ranger living in Death Valley for 25 years says, I’ve never seen such an event before, and I kept thinking it is incredible blooms.
I’m really excited now to see one of these super blooms and I do realize there are countless seeds sprouting and just waiting to grow. I never imagined that so much life could exist here in such astounding abundance and penetrating beauty. If a trend continues there will be a ton of wildflowers blooms in 2016 and will offer an unmatchable view. The last time Death Valley hasn’t seen a phenomenon like this since the early 2000s.
