Other than this you can also protect your accounts with the help of multi-factor authentication just as requiring two or more credentials to log in to the account. These multifactor authenticators make it much harder for scammers to log in to the accounts even if they are able to know the username and password.
What to Do If You Suspect a Phishing Attack
If you receive an email or even a text message which makes you suspicious of whether it is a Phishing attack that requires you to click open a link or even an attachment the most important and initial thought you come across is that is it even legitimate and do you actually own an account in this company. Not only that but are you even familiar with the person who contacted you?

Make sure you do not click on any links and attachments to protect yourself from being scammed.
However, If you do not own an account in that company or you are not familiar with the individual reaching out to you, you have good reason to believe that it is a phishing scam.
